A new client came to see me for a Healing Touch Session. She had many experiences with different energy healings over the years and was very open to receiving the session. At the beginning of the session, we discussed the intake form and our mutual goals for the treatment. Usually, after the intake forms, the client will lie on the table, and we make sure they’re comfortable and cozy. I ground myself and help ground the client. I begin by checking the chakras (energy centers) and the biofield to find where any areas of concern or blockages may need attention. This helps me determine which protocols will be used to help bring balance to the client and will help in her healing.
I was particularly drawn to her solar plexus around her upper stomach area. To me, it felt like the energy in that area needed to be cooled, that there was a fire burning. I used all the protocols I was taught, but I was guided to imagine holding a fire extinguisher over her stomach to put out the fire. Once I finished, I rechecked the area, and it felt calm and balanced. I continued with the rest of the treatment and allowed the client to rest. At the end of every treatment, I usually play chimes to alert the client that the session is over and to bring awareness back to the room. I ground the client by touching their lower legs and feet. Some clients can take a long time to come back to earth, so to speak, after a session, so grounding is very important.
I usually ask the client how their experience was. I don’t usually have to ask too many questions because most clients are ready to volunteer their experience.
This client said she had experienced many healing modalities over the years, but this one was different and very powerful. She explained that she felt something was being pulled out of her stomach area (solar plexus) during the treatment and that she felt calm afterward. These are the moments that always amaze me. We had both felt something powerful happening in that area. I can’t always explain to clients what is happening, but I know that I call in the universal energy of love and healing, and I trust that whatever the client needs, they will receive.
